All of the slates I use are recycled antique roofing slates off of the roofs of old houses, barns and buildings throughout New England. Some of the slates I've used in the past have come from:

I hand-cut, wash, and hand-paint each slate individually. Most slates can be personalized with a family name, house number, established date and more, and if you see me at a craft fair, I can even personalize your slate while you shop! All of my designs are original, and I complete them from start to finish.
All signs can be hung outdoors in direct rain and direct sun, as they are treated with an acrylic finish for display outside. Leather hangers come with each slate and should be checked periodically as they are a natural material.
